Sincrético. El nombre nace, nuevamente, de la conjunción de palabras, algo que a Los Golden no les deja de parecer divertido. Por un lado “sincretismo” como uniones entre ideas opuestas y por el otro “sintético” relacionado al vivir de quien nació en los 90 rodeado de plástico e inventos llamativos y novedosos. Sincrético es Trisceláneo pero en esteroides de marca tercermundista, con el doble de duración y casi el triple de temas.

Sincrético. The name was born, again about the union of words, something that every member of Golden Shag loves. By one side, "syncretism", the amalgamation or attempted amalgamation of different religions, cultures, or schools of thought implanted on music, and synthetic, that's related to those who were born on 90's surrounded by plastic and new and modern inventions. Sincrético is Triscelaneo but in steroids in a third world brand, with the double duration and almost the triple of themes.

Sounds to me like a jazzier, poppier take on 'Red'-era King Crimson, in bed with the stuff Van Der Graaf Generator did when they reunited in 1975. But this is not lite muzak; emotionally, it's quite melanocholic, a bit like a Spanish band called Manta Ray. Add some Neu! touches, a dash of (krautrockers) Out of Focus or Xhol Caravan, or even new wave and the odd reggae rhythm and you've got one great companion piece to the album modern jazzers The Breathing Effect released last year.
